En Gedi was more than a place on a map. It was a stronghold. When David was hunted by Saul, he fled into the wilderness and found refuge in the strongholds of En Gedi. It was a place of pressure, testing, restraint, courage, and preparation. David entered En Gedi as a man being pursued, but he carried the calling of a king.
That story became part of the inspiration behind Engedi Clothing Company, founded by Sabrina Bogart with a vision to create Christian apparel for people who know who they are in Christ—even when the world around them doesn’t.
Engedi represents more than clothing. It represents the conviction that some of the most important things God develops in us happen in the wilderness. Seasons of pressure, testing, preparation, and obscurity do not erase our identity or calling. Like David at En Gedi, we can know who God has called us to be before the world ever recognizes it.
